Sewerby Hall & Gardens / Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award 2023
The Brief
We were delighted to hear that the fabulous Wildlife Photographer of the Year Award exhibition was coming back to Sewerby for 2023. And we were even more excited to be asked to create a brand new adventure to perform alongside the exhibition during May – July 2023!
What We Did
We decided to focus on some of the best-loved and iconic British wildlife characters from the popular imagination – Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad from the wonderful and timeless Wind in the Willows! In the adventure, whilst taking place in the shared imagination – we wanted to evoke the calm of the riverbank, the gloom of the deep dark forest and the excitement of the open road – and the wonderfully varied grounds at Sewerby Hall gave us plenty of opportunity!
The Result
The performances helped to draw new audiences to Sewerby for the exhibition as well as serving to establish Saturday as a regular day for live family performance at the venue!
