The Brief
We were delighted to be asked back to Torchlight Festival in 2024 – both to bring back our popular animation of the childrens’ tipi and our woodland adventures but also to fill a spot on the Campfire Stage on the Sunday night!
What We Did
We were keen to create a varied and frequent programme of activities so that we could cater for those festival families who wished to attend multiple creative events over the course of the weekend. This year we wanted a focus on sustainable crafting and found materials with a theme for each day’s activities. We created a versatile team who, between them, could deliver three different craft workshops, two different walking performances in the woodland as well as our Woodland Creatures Theatre performance of Treasure Island. We liaised with the Torchlight team to make sure that activities dovetailed with main stage acts across the weekend.
The Result
Our jolly foresters were inundated with enthusiastic families at the multiple craft workshops and we had many families attending all of our events – which included animal clay modelling, pirate themed crafts, our Fairy Tale adventure in the woodland and a rambunctious performance of Treasure Island by Toad and Rabbit which preceded the Old Time Sailors on the Campfire Stage!
