Magical Santa Experience 2025!

Sledmere House 2025

The Brief

Having worked with Sledmere House on their Magical Santa Experience since 2020, we were invited once again to create a new festive journey within the atmospheric Home Barns. Each year the experience evolves, and for 2025 the brief was to move away from a large-scale adventure and instead create something intimate and cosy, with smaller group sizes and deeper moments of interaction with the characters.

What We Did

Working closely with the Sledmere team from the earliest stages, we developed a narrative rooted in the site’s strong rural and farming traditions, ensuring the story and characters felt entirely at home within the beautifully designed & realised indoor spaces. The story began in Mrs Claus’s welcoming farmhouse kitchen. Here, families helped to make traditional pomanders by studding real oranges with cloves, and learned about wassailing with Mrs Claus’s mischievous squirrel companion! Families then moved into the Post Room before being reunited with Father Christmas in his cosy snug.  After spending time with him as a family, they processed into a woodland-inspired indoor space for a rousing wassail, decorating trees with paper chains and singing together to bless the orchard for the year ahead!

The Result

The Magical Santa Experience sold out across its run and was warmly received by families who embraced the slower, more personal style of storytelling. New for 2025 were shorter, gentle sessions tailored for pre‑school‑aged children, underlining the event’s focus on accessible, joyful engagement for families of all ages
