Neverland at Kenwood!

Culture Creative / Great Ormond St Hospital Charity / RG Live / Kenwood House 2025

The Brief

Neverland at Kenwood House formed part of a major national partnership between RG Live, Culture Creative and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH), creating Peter Pan–themed immersive experiences across the UK in support of the charity.

Following the success of the indoor Neverland experience at Blenheim Palace in 2024, Culture Creative were commissioned to design a new outdoor illuminated trail at Kenwood House, telling the story of the Darling children’s journey to Neverland through large-scale light installations set within the historic landscape. As long-standing collaborators with Culture Creative and having delivered the live character interactions for the Blenheim Palace Neverland, we were invited to create memorable, emotionally engaging encounters with key Neverland characters that would complement the illuminated trail while reinforcing the spirit and values of the GOSH partnership.

What We Did

Working closely with Culture Creative we developed two core live character experiences for the trail: the return of Captain Hook and the introduction of a brand new puppet character, Nana the dog.

Captain Hook had previously proved hugely popular with audiences at Blenheim Palace, bringing theatricality, humour and playful tension to the journey, Alongside Hook, we introduced Nana – the loyal guardian of the Darling children – a beautifully crafted puppet character by the same makers who produce puppets for Chester Zoo Lanterns & Lights.  Her role was to embody care, protection and warmth, echoing the emotional heart of the Peter Pan story and aligning closely with the values of the GOSH partnership.

To support the launch of the project one of our Captain Hook performers took part in the viral reel Captain Hook Arrives in Hampstead. in which he attempted everyday activities in the local area – including trying to ride a Lime bike, visiting a nail salon and losing his dog on Hampstead Heath!

The Result

The project strengthened our ongoing collaboration with Culture Creative and RG Live and marked a proud contribution to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity partnership – using storytelling, character and live encounter to help bring the world of Peter Pan to families across the UK in a way that was joyful, accessible and meaningful. With strong audience engagement and significant interest in the touring potential of the Neverland trail, this project represents an exciting step in the growth of large-scale, charity-aligned immersive experiences at heritage sites nationwide.

Witchfinders at Sarehole Mill Pumpkin Flotilla

Last night we went to Neverland at Kenwood. It’s a gorgeous, immersive outdoor trail and one of the most magical events if you’re looking for something to do over Christmas.
