Driffield Show!

East Riding of Yorkshire Council 2024

The Brief

We were asked by our existing client, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, whether we might be able to help them at the Driffield Show in 2024. Specifically, to generate interest in the council’s zone at the show but also to help with promoting the events programme at Sewerby Hall & Gardens.

What We Did

We had a performance space available and timeslots allocated to us in the programme so we needed to adapt something that was suitable for a sit down audience and which could compete with the distractions of a busy festival experience! We decided to adapt our Rusticus Knights of the Round Table performance which is highly visual and has a significant improvisational quality suitable for a disparate audience.  We supported the shows on walkabout in character in the main festival site generating interest in the ERYC zone.

The Result

Ove the course of a hot Wednesday in July, the team successfully enticed lots of families into the performance zone who engaged with the ERYC it’s aims and exhibitors and helped generate a fun buzz about the events programme at Sewerby Hall & Gardens!
