Well, we do the show in bad weather (with elements altered to keep everyone safe of course..)
As many of you know, your young people don’t mind if it’s raining. More often than not, it’s their adults who decide not to attend an event if rain is given. So everyone endures another day stuck indoors.. True, it is harder to enjoy the outdoors when you’re cold or wet or blasted by winds, believe me we at Rusticus learnt the hard way (anyone remember the snow at Easter 2013) so we have two top tips to share with you all –
1. invest in waterproof coverups/trousers for your children. They keep the wind off and the water out and means they can roll around on the ground whatever the weather – actually scrub that, get some for yourself too. Also wear a hat.
2 Come to a Rusticus event, where we never cancel, and you know we can turn any weather to our collective advantage. Rain clouds gathering? We create a group rain dance to dispel them. Wind whipping the words from your lips? Perfect weather for shouting our troubles out to sea.
If you haven’t discovered the joys of outdoor arts, then give us a try – if you have, then we look forward to seeing you again in 2015!
