Rusticus are perfect for breathing new life into community areas and school grounds. For enriching topic work and improving literacy. For the wow factor at a special event such as World Book Day or Open Days. Or just for fun…!

A number of Rusticus Encounters and Adventures have been especially adapted for use in school. We are always more than a bit excited by a new challenge and have therefore also created and delivered Rusticus events especially for schools based on themes including The Gruffalo, Roald Dahl, Narnia, Middle Earth, and Hans Christian Anderson. Just contact us to chat about your idea or read what our teachers have to say about it below!

“Sometimes you get in a company and it all sounds good on the tin, but it inevitably disappoints. Our kids live in a sterile world, you helped them feel wonder today”. Shaun, Greenhill Primary. – World Book Night event

“Just to tell you that yesterday afternoon was brilliant. The children (and adults) loved it!” Catherine, Brandesburton Primary Treasure Day

“Thank you. The children have had an amazing experience that they will remember for many years” Sahdia, Greenhill Primary -Hans Christian Anderson Book Night.

‘Many thanks for your support at our Community day last Saturday. It was a fantastic atmosphere and we achieved our aim to bring people on site to the Prep School. We had between 250 and 300 visitors. We hope the afternoon was good for you too and look forward to joining forces on future events.” Ian Wright, Head of Pocklington Prep School

“Please would you pass on my thanks and appreciation to John and Alison for their amazing work on Saturday. It fitted perfectly with the day and helped us promote the School very effectively. I am so grateful for the hard work and attention to detail that John and Alison provided – I was lucky enough to see all 3 walks, and they just got better and better! I have had so many positive comments from staff about the walks, many of whom went on one themselves. Thank you so much again.” Rob, Pocklington Prep School

“Thanks so much for the pirate fun we have had over Monday and Tuesday with Rob! The children loved having him in school and I have heard nothing but positive comments about the time spent with him from all the schools. Thank you for arranging everything. Please pass on my thanks to Rob too. I trust we can work with you again.” Hilary, Garton & Barmby Moor Primary Schools.

“Pirate Day was fantastic, thank you. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed it. Please pass our thanks onto Rob” Catherine, Burlington Infants

“Once again, I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of the children and the staff for all your hard work yesterday and for really making the story come to life! It was an amazing afternoon and evening and the children thoroughly enjoyed it! Andrea. Greenhill Primary – Narnia Book Night

“Thank you very much! All the children and adults involved thoroughly enjoyed your activities” Neil, Greenhill Primary – Gruffalo Book Night

“I just wanted to send a quick message of thanks to the Sewerby Pirate and Lady Penelope for yesterday’s efforts. Despite our late arrival, the children thoroughly enjoyed the characters and interaction. It was great start to an excellent day. Thank you. On behalf of all at Welton Primary school, I would really like to say a big thanks! We look forward to working with Rusticus again soon.” Jon, Welton Primary.
