Planning for the year ahead – Rusticus style!

It’s serious business here at Rusticus HQ as we do all the thinking required to plan and deliver in our trademark Rusticus style during our 2021 season! Earlier this year we were over the moon to receive a National Lottery Project Grant from Arts Council England which has supported our intention to spend time with our fellow freelance creatives during these cold later Winter months – reflecting, remembering, devising & creating together. We’ve enjoyed discovering the outdoors again both with our friends at the Humberside Scouting Association at their Givendale Campground, high in the Yorkshire Wolds, and down the hill in the Vale of York with Marie and Adam of the Woodland Adventure Company, in their woodland near Stamford Bridge. Taking inspiration from the great outdoors and with the bonus of being in front of a roaring campfire, has been a tremendously positive experience. We’ve re-kindled relationships, devised great content, and planned activities to meet the challenges of whatever this year throws at us. We were fortunate to have valuable insight both from Marie at Sewerby Hall & Gardens, and Vicky at The Woodland Trust – who threw their ideas into the mix and were generally brilliantly supportive and creative as always. Marie spend a happy day with us round the campfire and we zoomed with Vicky over in Bolton. We can’t wait to share the fruits of our happy February outdoors, with all our audiences this year – old and new – and to show off our new Rusticus hoodies wherever we go!! Onwards and upwards..!
